WeeCam problems reported EarthLink has been having an offer where you get a free Alaris WeeCam if you sign up for their Internet service. Three MacFixIt Forums threads (one, two and three) reveal that MacFixIt readers have been less than pleased with the performance of this camera. A few postings suggest that an updated 1.0.5 version of the QuickVideo software may remedy the problems. Two LinkSys Routers with the same name John Strung writes: "There are now two different versions of the LinkSys Cable/DSL router: the BEFSR41 and a newer BEFSR11. They both use the same name(!). They are identical except that BEFSR11 does not have the built-in 4 port switch. It has only one LAN port: a 10/100 autosensing port and its price is about $50 less." FAXcilitate update exists but not posted online? A reader contacted Diamond about a possible update to FAXcilitate for use with their Supra modem. "They replied that an update was available to 2.5.2 and promptly sent me 2 handmade floppies with the updated software on them at no cost." This update is apparently not listed on their Web site.
