Palm pushed it's Web OS 1.1 update to me today, I had hoped for some decent improvements, but they were negligible - nice improvements, but negligible. Palm's release notes can be found on their support site (webOS 1.1.0). CNET also gave a good overview on their news site: Palm releases WebOS 1.1 for Pre; brings back iTunes syncing . A highlight of this update and of the article is the battle that Palm is raising with iTunes regarding it's ability to sync with that application. I suspect this will be the first of many updates to "bring back" sync functionality with iTunes after Apple figures out another way to prevent it.

As these sites point out, there are some improvements to the camera , calendar, and instant messaging, as well as even more improvements to the Exchange Active Sync capabilities, making it even more compatible with corporate environments (like forcing PINs and remote wiping). These updates make good things even better.

Absent from this updates are any improvements to the sparse "beta" app catalog, email searching or 'right click' type menus and the ability to clear missed calls without calling them. They have addressed some missed call features, but not this one.
