When Ubisoft announced last year that Watch Dogs would be delayed until 2014, there was a great disturbance on the Internet, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in rage, and were unfortunately never silenced.

Well dry your eyes, gentle readers, because Watch Dogs is definitely coming and will be available for PC, PS3, Xbox 360 and next-gen consoles on 27 May. There's even a story trailer to prove it.

From what we've seen (and briefly played) this is definitely a game you want to have on your radar. In fact the next-gen version might even be a great reason to buy an Xbox One or PS4 if you've been holding off until the catalogue of next-gen games improved.

(Of course, we're basing this on previews — we'll reserve our full judgement for the final release.)

Remember also that PS4 and PS3 gamers get a controversial extra hour of gameplay via the PSN. Oh, and Wii U gamers will have to wait for a "later date".
