Cord cutters and on-the-go TV watchers now have another app to help satisfy their viewing habits, at least if they're big "Gossip Girl" fans and based in Europe.

Warner Bros. yesterday launched its Day After US app for iOS, giving users access to a few of its TV series for download or streaming. The app is free to download, but the majority of programs must be purchased.

The app briefly and accidentally showed up in the U.S. iTunes store but later was removed. It's only being made available to consumers in the Benelux region -- Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg -- to give them a place to purchase TV shows.

So far, the content and capabilities are pretty limited, with only three series currently available through the app -- "The Big Bang Theory," "Gossip Girl," and "The Vampire Diaries."

Warner offers the first episode of the current season for free -- if you agree to share on Facebook that you downloaded the app -- but other episodes must be purchased on an individual basis or by way of a season pass. Previous seasons are also available for purchase.

As an example of pricing, individual episodes in standard definition cost $3, while the HD versions are $4. Season passes for the current seasons of "The Big Bang Theory" and "The Vampire Diaries" run $38 in SD or $44 in HD, while the current season of "Gossip Girl" costs $25 for SD or $31 for HD.

All purchased content is restricted to playback through the app on the iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch and is not compatible with iTunes.
