Wacom driver problems: work-arounds

InputSprocket conflict Regarding the Wacom tablet driver 4.5: Curt Vercruysse confirmed a conflict (suggested last time) between Apple InputSprocket Extension (1.71) and the Wacom USBTabletModule6 with his Graphire tablet connected to a G4 Mac. His symptoms included a freeze whenever he launched Virtual PC: "Disable either of the 2 extensions and the problem goes away. Holding the Shift key at startup does not work; you must remove one of the extensions from the Extensions folder."

Alternatively, Curt found that by moving the Tablet driver to the start of the extensions loading order (via Conflict Catcher), the symptoms also vanished.

Virtual memory glitch? Stuart Roebuck reports what may be a different issue: "I don't know the full extent of the problems but I know that on three different machines (PowerBook G3 with Cardbus USB, B&W G3 with built in USB & 7600 with PCI USB card) the USB Graphire mouse starts to have very delayed response (resulting in apparently uncontrolled cursor movement) after a period of use or upon the starting up of applications on machines with Virtual Memory switched on. Switching off virtual memory appears to be a work-around."
