W32.Badtrans.B@mm and Macs

CNET staff
A Windows-based email virus similar to Sircam (see previous) is on the loose. Macs cannot spread the virus and are not affected, except as a recipient of unexplained email messages from other infected users. We have received over 20 messages ourselves in the last 24 hours. Here is an except from SARC:

"W32.Badtrans.B@mm is a MAPI worm that emails itself out as one of several different file names. This worm also creates a DLL in \Windows\System directory as Kdll.dll. It uses functions from this DLL to log keystrokes."
