Virtual PC 6.1 a re-branding; Microsoft MacBU testing G5s

Today's announcement of a new pricing scheme for the Office v.X suite also brings a "new" version of the now Microsoft-owned Virtual PC: 6.1.

Jessica Sommer, Product Manager for the Microsoft MacBU, let MacFixIt know that the new release is simply a re-branding of the previous release, and not a feature-upgraded release.

Sommer also told us that the company is just now beginning to test for compatibility with the Power Macintosh G5 - shipping to customers this month - across the Office suite and Virtual PC.
