Video keyboard adds color to desktop

Bella's pro line looks good while on the job

The poor, lowly keyboard. Of all the computer equipment available, it's been conspicuously neglected in the fashion world while its sibling, the mouse, has gotten all the attention right next door.

Bella, for one, is fed up with this injustice and is doing something about it. While it's not quite the "Upravlator," its upcoming professional series of the video-editing DV Keyboard 3.0 definitely puts some color under your fingertips. In addition to its patented "jog/shuttle controller"--a kind of wheel that replaces the usual arrows--the pro line features color-coded keys that are named and marked with icons that indicate their functions.

Just be careful that the kids don't mistake it for one of their toys. (Thanks to Jim H. for the tip.)
