Video games meet Little Golden Books

A California illustrator has put some of our favorite games onto adorable Little Golden Books covers. Awww.

We've seen some pretty gosh-darn adorable fan art, but L.A.-based illustrator Joey Spiotto's take on Skyrim, Portal, and BioShock takes the biscuit.

Using the art of classic Little Golden Books, Spiotto (aka Joebot) has managed to visually explain the affection and nostalgia that gamers will have for these game titles in the years to come.

"As the sun sets on this current generation of video games, I've been thinking about some of the classic games that people will still (hopefully) point to years from now and hold them up as games that made a difference, and possibly, for some child out there, Portal or Skyrim will be a memory from their early childhood," he said on his blog.

The three covers --The Littlest Dragonborn, The Cake is a Lie and Me, and My Big Daddy -- are available as prints, either individually for $20 or as a set for $50. While we kind of wish they were actual books, we can't say we're disappointed about being able to own them as pieces of art.

You can snap them up on Joebot's Etsy page.
