Video boombox for the iPod

With option to have 7-inch LCD pop up

We knew that one of these had to be out there. About a week ago we found a video boombox that seemed to have everything except an iPod dock--which, to many people, made it virtually useless. But Boston Innovative Products has come to the rescue with one that provides just that.

Its "iMep" line of iPod boomboxes are also equipped for DVDs, CDs, TV and radio, according to iLounge. They're a bit of a stretch for the manufacturer, which is better known for making air purifiers and other household appliances. But hey, Samsung and LG are making TV refrigerators, so all bets are off.

Besides, unlike the video boombox with a 5-inch screen we featured earlier, this one has a 7-inch LCD and a raft of other features for $300. You even have the option of having the display mounted on the front or one that flips on top. It's like a convertible perfect for cruising the beach just in time for summer.
