Vicomsoft has just posted a technical overview of Network Address Translation (NAT). "This paper should be of help to those who use or plan to use NAT related devices or software and to those wishing to acquire a better understanding of Internet Access Sharing. NAT is a method of connecting multiple computers to the Internet (or any other IP network) using one IP address. This allows home users and small businesses to connect their network to the Internet cheaply and efficiently."

Other useful documents in Vicomsoft's KnowledgeShare Library include ones on DHCP (Dynamic Host Allocation Protocol), DSL (Digital Subscriber Link), email & email Servers, and cable modems.
