Vice President Biden joins Instagram

The official account appears to be managed by staffers, but one can still wish for an image slip-up or two.

Welcome to Instagram, Mr. Vice President.

Wednesday, Joe Biden joined Instagram to share behind-the-scenes photos and videos with followers. The launch of his account was timed to coincide with his appearance alongside President Barack Obama in Pennsylvania to announce grants for job training and apprenticeship programs.

Sadly, the @VP account appears to be mostly controlled by staffers, which means Instagram will likely not be a new platform for keeping up with Biden's famously frequent gaffes.

The White House, the First Lady, and the official White House photographer are also on Instagram, a Facebook-owned application.
