Verizon's RIM BlackBerry Curve 9370 Verizon Wireless

LAS VEGAS--Verizon isn't holding a press conference at CES, but that hasn't stopped the carrier from spilling a ton of announcements on the show's official Press Day.

Just before it showed off the Motorola Droid 4, a Droid Razr in purple, and the new Droid Razr Maxx this morning, Big Red also unveiled a new BlackBerry world phone with the Curve 9370.

Part of the new 9350/9360/9370 Curve series that RIM debuted last summer, Verizon's handset has the same design, 2.44-inch display, and BlackBerry 7 OS. You'll also find an entry-level feature set similar to what we saw late last year on T-Mobile's Curve 9360.

Inside are 3G support and NFC services, a 5-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1, the premium version of Documents To Go, GPS, and a microSD card slot. Though you'll find a 2GB card in the box, the Curve 9370 can accommodate cards up to 32GB.

The 9370 also gives world travelers a boost by being the first Verizon Curve with world-roaming support for GSM, GPRS, and EDGE networks.

The Curve 9370 will launch January 19 for $99 with a two-year contract and after a $50 mail-in rebate. Customers will have to choose at least the $39.99 monthly calling plan plus an additional $30 monthly data plan for 2GB of data.
