Verizon Wireless announced today that the Bold 9930 will be available for $249.99 after a two-year customer agreement. The phone will be initially offered online starting today, and in stores starting August 25.

Hours later, and Sprint followed suit with a similar announcement that its version of the Bold 9930 will also be priced at $249.99 after a two-year agreement. Sprint also announced it will be selling the BlackBerry Torch 9850 for $149.99 after the usual two-year contract. The Bold 9930 will ship with the latest BlackBerry 7 OS and is the thinnest BlackBerry yet at only 10.5 millimeters thick. It is also the first Bold to have a 2.8-inch touch-screen display. The Torch 9850 will be Sprint's first full touch-screen BlackBerry. It has a 3.7-inch display and will also ship with BlackBerry 7. Both phones boast a 1.2GHz processor, a 5-megapixel camera that can shoot 720p HD video, both a GSM and CDMA chipset so that it is global ready, Wi-Fi, GPS, and more.
