Verax solution for Power Mac G4 MDD noise done testing

Sources inside Veraxfans.com, the North American distributor for Verax products, let us know that testing on the noise reduction kits has been completed and the new fan installation packages should be shipping soon.

The company had initially stated a shipment date of "early April."

Apple attempted to address the notorious Power Macintosh G4 MDD (mirrored drive door) noise issue in the form of a hardware fix that can be self-installed, or applied by an Apple authorized technician. However, after ordering the new power supply noise fix, users are experiencing some problems (described in a separate article in today's MacFixIt edition) including increased noise levels after waking from sleep.
