Utilities Updates: Timbuktu; FoldersSynchronizer; IPNetSentry; Extension Overload; Bouncer; more

Timbuktu Pro 6.0.1 is out. This release runs on Mac OS X 10.1, 10.0.4, and Mac OS 8.6/9.x. Changes include numerous bug fixes, the ability to upgrade the application without restarting, support for the recent OS X Security Update, support for Timbuktu event sound preferences, the load Timbuktu only when needed preference, and dynamic loading of drop-ins on OS 8.6/9.x. It can also send force quit events from OS 8.6/9.x Timbuktu guests to OS X Timbuktu hosts, and can be installed in the Classic environment without affecting your OS X installation of Timbuktu Pro.

FoldersSynchronizer 2.2.1 is a tool to synchronize and backup files and folders. This update fixes a bug when moving files to an empty folder.

IPNetSentry 1.3.0 is a firewall to stop hackers, intruders, and Code Red-type worms. This update fixes a problem where an aged filter may not properly be removed (by automatically timing out).

Extension Overload 5.9.3 is a utility that reports information on extensions, control panels, CSMs and CMMs. This release adds over 150 new listings, more URLs and email addresses, better support for non-English systems, and an improved updating mechanism.

Bouncer 1.0 is an AppleScript for Microsoft Entourage that will read through the headers of a selected message and responds to the sender as if the e-mail server can't find the e-mail address.'

Audion 2.6.1 is an audio player/encoder for CDs, MP3 and streaming net audio. Stability and speed are the major changes in this release. See the release notes for details.

LockOut 3.2 is a simple security tool. Changes include a new Preferences window that is much easier to use and minor bug fixes.

MuchoThumbs Pro 2.5 is now Apple-scriptable and recordable, it reads image descriptions from a text file from within the images folder, creates banners automatically, and specify an index page filename, and includes better slideshow navigation and a more OS X-like interface.

PhotoGrid 2.4 is a quick image viewer with resizable thumbnails. New in this release, the ability to rename files and folders in TreeView, a 32x32 icon in TreeView, and an option to skip scanning folders beyond a certain number of levels.

Sorenson Video 3.1 is the developer edition codec for developing QuickTime movies.

CrushFTP 3.0b20 is a multihoming FTP server with remote admin and virtual serving. This update adds GUI administration via a browser, changes how users and groups are treated, adds a save confirmation for changes to a user, fixes MacBinary switching bug in MacOS X, and much more.

VueScan 7.1.26 is an alternate driver for Nikon, Minolta, HP, and other film scanners. Changes include a Color|Image brightness option, a Device|Lock exposure option (for panoramas), support for "Device|Frame offset (mm)" on FS4000 when using strip film carrier (for panoramas when using carrier with plastic bars cut away), and a fix for Minolta scanners connected using Firewire->SCSI converter.
