Utilities Updates: TattleTech; SwitchBack; Mulberry; QuickConvert; Thoth; Ptah; Rosetta; Clipboard Edit; more

TattleTech 2.84b7 reports over 900 info items for: system, hardware and peripherals. Changes in this update include several new country and color codes, and fixes for reports on PowerBook DIMM pins, ATA busses, the CPU on a G4 Dual 800, and the machine's serial number.

SwitchBack 3.5 is a file synchronization and backup utility. New is the ability to set a minimum time difference before a file is updated, full speed backup in the background, scheduled documents open in the background, and a fix for the crash when hiding while a synchronization is underway. 

Mulberry 2.1.1 is a scalable IMAP email client with SSL support. This release fixes number of bugs, and other changes include: quotes in reply/forward drafts always appear in date received order, there is a new Admin kiosk option to disable rules, and a new option for the STARTTLS command.

QuickConvert 1.1.8 is a batch creator/type code converter with a favorites menu. This release fixes bugs with the favorites menu and QuickEdit.

Thoth 1.4.0b is a Carbonized Usenet newsreader client. Several of the many changes include support for displaying animated GIFs as movies, better filename truncating, improved random sig selection, improvements for setting up a new server, new image window shortcuts, the ability to delete servers, tooltips, contextual menu support, and more.

Ptah 1.4.0a is a viewer/player for text, image, movie, and sound files. No word on what has changed.

Rosetta 1.4.0 decodes files that have been encoded using the most common encoding methods (BinHex, MacBinary, MIME Base64, uuencode). No word on what has changed in this update.

Clipboard Edit 2.0b1 is a simple application which allows the user to edit the contents of the clipboard (both text and graphics). 

MacGhostView 2.4.2 is the latest release of this general purpose PostScript and PDF preview utility.

Time Palette Classic 4.1 is a world time, almanac, calculator and mapping utility. This release adds support for new Daylight Saving Time (Summer Time) systems.

RPN Calculator 1.44 is a calc that handles complex number math. This update adds "Roll Visible Up" and "Roll Visible Down" to RPNC's display's contextual menu, better mem/rcl/arc/hyp indicator behavior with respect to when they disengage, visual button feedback while typing on the keyboard, and more.

AsyncKeys 1.4 shows ASCII and keyboard reference numbers to key combinations. This release adds an ASCII character window, persistent window positions, and bug fixes. 

The Analogue Ripper 1.0 allows analog sound source recording (LPs, Cassettes, 8-Track tapes, etc.) and editing and playback tools to break large sound files up into tracks. The tracks can be saved to disk for burning to CD or sent direct to your preferred MP3 encoder.

Mozilla 0.9.5 is the latest Preview version of mozilla.org's browser. Changes include an integrated JavaScript debugger (Venkman), a tabbed interface, SOCKS proxies, a site navigation bar, and more.

G-Force 2.1.2 and WhiteCap 4.1.2 are visual plugins for iTunes, SoundJam, Audion, and Echo.

DHG-FreeFireBird 1.0.6 (Polymorphic Spectragraph) and DHG-DarkSosiaBay 1.0.3 (Stationary Spectragraph), DHG-FlowerPowerFlow 1.0.4 ('flowers'), and DHG-BlueStarWarp 1.0.4 (a retreating sound pulsar) are iTunes visual plugins.
