Utilities Updates: Retrospect; Keep It Up; Xounds; more

Retrospect 5.0.205 is an update to this backup software. The new versions fixes a problem scanning icons/privileges of files with names longer than 31 characters. It also fixes a problem that caused Retrospect Express to erroneously display an error message following autolaunch or launching the application by double-clicking a run document stating that automatic execution failed, possibly due to a power failure or system crash. Keep It Up X 3.1 watches certain applications and monitors if they are still running. If an application no longer runs because it "unexpectedly quit" or because the user quit it, KIU will attempt to relaunch this application (and open certain documents) or restart the computer. The update includes several enhancements.

Xounds 1.2 brings Appearance Sounds back to Mac OS X The update adds an Exclude List option to remove certain applications from being affected by Xounds. It also fixed a bug with Xounds crashing if Preload XoundSet option is checked (and removed that option as obsolete).

Sherlock Menu 10.0 will now allow you to more quickly and conveniently access the specific Sherlock search channels from any program via the menu bar.

DesktopViewer 1.0b3 is a status bar application that lists up all files/folders/aliases/volumes (including iDisk or network volumes) on your Desktop as a status bar menu items and makes it easy to access them.

Virex 7 Definitions 020417 is a description update for Virex 7.0 only.

GoogleSearch 0.4 is a proof-of-concept for the new Google Web Service (SOAP based for those developers out there). While not currently in a very usable state, it clearly demonstrates that this can be implemented on the Macintosh.
