Utilities Updates: PGP Desktop Home 9.0.4; Mozilla Thunderbird 1.5rc2; JigSaw 1.8.7b1; more

PGP Desktop Home 9.0.4: PGP security/encryption for IM, email, disks. The new release fixes a problem where SSL connections in some cases were creating multiple messaging services, which made it appear as if changes to the settings of these accounts weren't being properly set.

Mozilla Thunderbird 1.5rc2: Enhanced Mozilla email client. The new release has an automated update function to streamline product upgrades. Notification of an update is more prominent, and updates to Thunderbird may now be half a megabyte or smaller. Updating extensions has also improved.

JigSaw 1.8.7b1: file segment joining utility. This beta tests the ability to join files larger than 2.7 GB.

File Juicer 3.9.7: extract images, video, audio and text from files and folders. In the new release, EPS and postscript files are now converted to PDF before being "Juiced". This gives better results, and it can make it a lot simpler than using Preview if one just need to convert to PDF.

CrowzNest 1.1: monitor folders for changes. In the new release the Status Bar icon displays program status Blue = Standby Yellow = transfer or connection error detected Green = update detected in Hot Folder.

Linotype FontExplorer X 1.0fc4: professional font management utility. The new release supports Adobe Illustrator CS1/CS2 Plug-Ins, and copying to clipboard from the font preview will now copy sample images.

Dobry Backuper 1.3: backup software. The new release adds better support for entire system volume backup (including hidden unix files/folders like: /bin, /sbin, /private, /usr, etc.).
