Utilities Updates: Norton Utilities; Rebound; ROAM; more

Symantec Norton Utilities 5.0.2 has been posted for direct download, bypassing the need to use LiveUpdate. [A 5.0.2 bootable CD is not yet available; expect it within a few weeks.]

The Tilery 4.1 is the latest update to this desktop launcher application. The update features improved tile placement: The Tilery now remembers your tile layouts at different screen sizes and monitor resolutions. It also has a new "Select New Original" command which allows tiles to be retargeted. There are also numerous bug fixes.

StyleScript 4.0.2 is the latest version of this utility that "turns your Hewlett-Packard, Epson, Canon, or Apple inkjet into a genuine Adobe PostScript printer."

Rebound 2.01 is the latest software for this device to automatically restart your Mac after a system crash. This version improves the way Rebound! responds to some application failures (e.g., to catch when WebStar v4 quits on its own), adds to the email notification preferences, has a new option to prevent conflict with other programs that receive 'syslog' entries, and now includes an iLog Software Developer's Kit so other applications can send information to Rebound!'s log.

AutoTextTyper 1.0 is "a contextual menu plugin that lets you quickly and easily add commonly used text, such as email addresses, web sites, addresses, company names, signatures, form letters, and more, to a list of items in a contextual menu."

Drag'nBack 3.0.3 is the latest version of this back-up utility. There is also a Lite version.

And still in beta:

ROAM 1.6b6 is the latest beta version of this utility that claims to speed up your "older" Mac by copying the ROM into RAM (mimicking how the iMac and newer desktop Macs work). The update fixes numerous bugs. Also, it now has better support for 601 based Power Macs and can handle multiple monitors.

MacOS Items Manager 1.6b1 is the latest beta version of this utility that "allows to enable/disable Contextual Menu Items, Control Strip Modules and Fonts, in the same way Extensions Manager does for extensions and control panels." It adds a preview of disabled fonts and improves speed.

MacLoad 1.0a4 is an alpha version of a utility that tells you how much CPU time each application is being given.

MacTidy 1.0b7 is software to check and correct HTML and XML source code.

AOL Instant Messenger 3.5832 is the latest beta version of this "chat" program.

AppearanceHopper 1.9b3 is the latest beta version of this tool to change System Fonts and scroll bar options

WebEvent 3.21b2 is the latest beta version of this Internet calendar and scheduling software.

Formac GA 5.7 is the latest beta version of the GA ProFormance Line control panel from Formac.
