Utilities Updates: Intech SpeedTools; Thoth; iOrganize; Vicomsoft FTP; CrushFTP; PageNow; Rosetta; more

Intech HardDisk SpeedTools 3.2 is out. It adds support for some FireWire removable media drives, many Magneto Optical models, and Imation's SuperDisk. FireWire SyQuest and ORB devices are currently NOT supported. It also corrects an issue involving FireWire devices that could sometimes redisplay vendor and capacity information from the device listed above in the HDST main utility window.

VirusBarrier 1.5.3 is out. The unmapped memory error after the first scan of a corrupted html email has been fixed.

Thoth 1.1.1 is a Usenet news reader. This version adds a smart style text editing option, it fixes a crashing bug with posting new messages, it fixes a crash quitting the app under Mac OS X, and adds a "Do Not Authenticate" radio button to the news server authentication preferences panel.

iOrganize 3.3.1 is a note pad, address book, and alias manager. This update reduces overall memory use, fixes a memory leak in AliasPad, and improves Mac OS X support.

Vicomsoft FTP Client 3.1.4 is a multithreaded FTP client. This release adds support for FTP droplets, improves support for editing with BBEdit, and it increases speed during background transfers. Also, files and folders can now be moved from one directory to another by dragging and dropping between windows and there is a new appearance for all connection windows for users who prefer a more Finder-like view.

CrushFTP 2.1.4 is an FTP server based on Java. This version adds Mac OS X support, menu support for most items, and it fixes an out of memory error with MRJ.

PageNow 2.0 can send messages to pagers and PCS/GSM digital phones. This version adds support for TCP based paging.

Rosetta 1.1.1 is a bug fix release for this utility that decodes most archive formats and rejoins binary files.

Pepper 3.6.1 is a text editor. This update fixes some of the problems reported on MacOS X and adds a command line launcher.

SuperLock Lite 4.0.2 is a dual-user security utility to protect against casual snoopers. This is a bug fix release that also adds 9.1 compatibility.

Ptah 1.1.1 is a bug fix release for this image, movie, and sound file player.

AShare Helper 2.0 is an AppleShare IP admin helper tool. This version no longer relies on ASIP Scripter to translate AppleScript to ServerEvents. AShare Helper can now speak directly to the Web & File Server. It also adds the ability to monitor a list of Nominated folders to see if their size exceeds a preset limit, resets of the memory Caches of the Web & File Server by a schedule, and more.

VueScan 7.0.10 is an alternate film scanner driver for Nikon, Minolta, HP, and others. This update fixes a problem with infrared cleaning, an occasional 8 second delay at start of scan when using ScanWit, and better support for the SprintScan 120.

Farallon Fast Ether TX-10/100 2.4 is an Ethernet driver for PCI & Comm Slot II cards. This version improves stability and adds support for packet capture utilities such as EtherPeek and NetMinder.
