Utilities Updates: Greg's Browser; Kingston Ethernet; G3/G4 Cache Profiler; more

Greg's Browser 2.6 is now available. This utility "lets you quickly and easily navigate your way through the files on your hard disk. Version 2.6 is a long awaited update, adding compatibility with Mac OS 8.5 and Mac OS 9, along with several dozen minor changes and improvements. It also incorporates many new technologies, such as support for Kaleidoscope, Contextual Menus, extended HFS volumes, and browsing into StuffIt 5 archives."

AllTogetherNow 1.0 lets you create a single application "launch package" that launches multiple applications and/or files simultaneously. [Initially, I thought this was a Mac OS 9 "package" utility, but it is not. It is a general utility that works in older versions of the Mac OS as well.]

OneApp Slide Show 5.0.2 is the latest version of the slide show and presentation tool for multimedia files, QuickTime movies, sounds and images, which includes MP3 and MPEG files support and the possibility to specify folders to insert into a slide show presentation. This update fixes a bug that caused errors when choosing a non-local folder.

Kingston Ethernet 100 3.3 driver is now Mac OS 9 compatible.

G3/G4 Cache Profiler 1.3 now works with G4 processors and is compatible with Mac OS 9.

PrintToPDF 1.0.2 fixes some bugs in the previous recent update.

WebSTAR Server Suite 4.1b5 is now available.

Y2K App Checker 1.0.4 and Y2K App Checker Pro 1.1.5 has been released. The updates include some very minor flaw fixes with regard to the user interface. The checking engine under its hood, however, is unaffected and unchanged. Also, the latest database from Macnologist.com (version 11-04-1999) is now available (concerns Pro Edition users only).

Live Deskpicture 1.0b4 is the latest beta version of this program that creates a dynamic image of the earth that updates as the world turns. Use it as a desktop background picture.

Voodoo3 Macintosh OS 8.x Version: 1.0b7 is out.
