PowerLogix's SpeedMeter 1.1.1 is now available "SpeedMeter is the first and only software that reports all of the following information in one convenient, small application: Processor Type Clock Speed Bus Speed Backside Cache Speed (G3 systems only) Processor Temp (G3 systems only) Motherboard cache size (L3 cache) Backside Cache Size (L2 cache on G3 systems only). It works on all 604, 604e and G3 PowerMac systems, including PowerMacs upgraded with any of 604/604e/G3 processors, PowerMac G3, and PowerBook G3."

PhotoGIF 2.1.5 and ProJPEG 2.1.2 updates are out They are designed to fix a possible conflict with Photoshop 5.0. BoxTop Software writes: "Historically, both PhotoGIF and ProJPEG have had menu names beginning in either spaces or digits to force them to load before other plug-ins for GIFs and JPEGs. This may be causing a compatibility problem in Photoshop 5.0, which seems not to want to recognize plug-in names beginning with spaces and certain digits. To be on the safe side, since this isn't confirmed to be widespread, we have put together minor updates that no longer use trickery to change load order, and have rather plain names now. Otherwise there are no changes."

GIFConverter 2.4.3 has been released It fixesvarious bugs, including one that could cause crashes when Remove Unused Colors was turned on, and one where the Enhance command calculated wrong histograms.

DockZone 1.0.6 is out It "delimits an area on the right side of your main screen, where the volumes and the trash are usually located, giving your Desktop a BeOS or Rhapsody look. The control panel lets you customize the dock colors and its width."

SAM May Virus Definitions now include detection and repair of AutoStartvariants B and C (at least that's what the web page says).
