Utilities Updates

Apple has released PowerBook G3 Series Modem Extension 1.0.2. It includes the following fixes:

• Changes the sound monitor source to 'None' while powering the modem on or off in order to prevent the 'pop' sound.
• At close time, restores the sound monitor source to whatever it was at open time, unless the user has changed it in the meantime.
• Improves power on/off and reset strategy to recover from possible modem error conditions.

Extension Overload 3.3 is out.

2940UW firmware updateAdaptec has released a 4.1b1 beta version of a firmware update for its 2940UW SCSI card. It is "for the new Blue and White G3 Macs only" and should allow these Macs to startup from devices connected to the card.

Cameraid 1.1.2 is out.

CharisMac Anubis Plus 3.04 has been released."Essentially, the changes to Anubis 3.04 are for specifically our FibreShare product. There are no changes that affect standard hard disks and removable hard disks. It is not considered a necessary upgrade."

Wacom Intuos driver 4.2 is available.

Nu Serif 3.2 is out. Nu Serif is a scalable font based on Apple Computer's "Espy Serif" bitmap font, the font used in Apple Guide screens. The update adds the Euro symbol.

USB SuperDisk drivers 1.31 are now out.
