Use Postable to send personalized thank-you cards

Last year I wrote about how using Postable makes managing your address book less of a hassle. The service lets you request contact information from friends and family so you can easily send letters, cards, and gifts, knowing they're headed to the correct destination.

A recent update to Postable adds the ability to send thank-you cards to those who deserve a little gratitude, for $2 plus postage. With your address book stored in Postable, sending cards is supereasy. Here's how to get started:

Log in to your Postable account and you'll be asked if you want to write a card or go to your address book. If you don't have an account, sign-up is quick, but you'll probably need to add or request some addresses to make the card-sending process easier. Click on "Pick a card & start writing" on the right-hand side.

Now it's time to look through the 160 card designs Postable currently offers. You don't actually have to view all 160; that's just something I would do. Once you pick a card, you can write to just one person, or multiple people at the same time.

If you're just writing one card, you can pick the recipient and then start customizing the font and inside message right away. When sending cards to multiple people, you'll need to give a name to the project, like Wedding, Baby Shower, or whatever helps you remember why you are sending the cards. After naming, you can start the editing process. One of the best features that Postable offers is the ability to send different cards to each person, without too much effort. When you're finished, click Mail cards near the top right.

The cost summary of your order will appear. Now you just need to enter your payment info, verify your order, and you're set.

With the large amount of card choices and the ability to send batches of thank-you cards with personalized messages, Postable is extremely handy when you just need to thank one or many people.
