When you're trying to meet up with a friend or family member, it's sometimes hard to decide on a halfway spot. You may prefer a restaurant that's near you, and the same may be true for the person you want to meet. Meet Me Halfway is an app to help find the places in the middle of two points, so travel is equal for both people.

Grab a copy of Meet Me Halfway for your Android device. The app is available for Android 2.2 and up.

Put in your address, or a point near, and the address of the person you want to meet up with. You'll see the two points load on the map, and then pins representing places to meet halfway.

You can eliminate some of the types of businesses so the results are more tailored to what you and your meetup buddy are looking to do -- like grab a bite to eat, hang out a bar, or study at a library. This is done by tapping the Menu button on your device and then choosing Filter results. Depending on your device's screen size, there may be location options hiding at the bottom of the list, so scroll down to make sure you see everything. Once you pick a location, you can share it with any social app (address only) or open the coordinates in Google Maps.

In addition to business type options, the app offers the ability to avoid tolls and highways, and also lets you choose the transportation mode.

Keep in mind, this app is in beta -- so be patient regarding new features. A list view for the search results is on the horizon, and the developer is actively reading comments on Google Play. What do you think of it so far?
