URL Manager Pro and Shared Menus: A clarification

CNET staff
Regarding our previous item on URL Manager Pro and shared menus, Alco Blom (developer of URL Manager Pro) offers the following clarification: "The Shared Menus Protocol is a Client Server Protocol. This means that URL Manager Pro acts as the server and Navigator, for example, acts like the client. Because both URL Manager Pro and Frontier assume the role of the server, either URL Manager Pro or Frontier puts up its shared menus in the client (for example Navigator). They cannot both 'share' menus in the clients. The issue with Nisus is a different one. Here there is, I think, a problem with Nisus' implementation of the Shared Menus Protocol (reusing menu IDs reserved by the Shared Menus Protocol)."
