Two Mac OS 8.1 problems confirmed by more users

We have no new definitive new information to offer on these previously reported items regarding Mac OS 8.1, but we continue to get confirmations that:

Disabling Adobe Type Reunion fixes the RAM Disk subpanel disappearance problem that affects some users.

Keeping a bootable CD-ROM in the disk tray prevents a possible startup crash with Power Mac 4400 Macs. This may even extend to similar clone models such as a StarMax 3000/160 (thanks, Joe Wilson). It also may occur with some monitors but not others.
