Two FireWire PowerBook conflicts reported

Keyspan adapter disables IR? A previous item indicated a conflict between Keyspan USB Twin Serial Adapter and Mac OS 9.0.2. This MacFixIt Forums thread adds another twist: The InfraRed (IR) port on FireWire PowerBooks appears to be disabled when the Adapter is connected. slimSCSI1480 conflict According to this MacFixIt Forums thread, the Adaptec slimSCSI1480 PC Card to SCSI adapter is not compatible with the FireWire PowerBooks. Adaptec tech support told one user that "Adaptec will release an interim fix prior to the time that Apple releases System 9.0.4." We guess that means it's due very soon. Update: PowerDomain SlimSCSI1480 version 1.1 driver was released today. It requires Mac OS 9.0.3 or later. (Thanks, Clay Booker.)
