TV Land to revamp site with more video

Web version of classic TV network to feature clips, commercials, promos, and full-length episodes.

TV Land, the MTV Networks channel that specializes in reruns of vintage programming for the boomer generation, will be launching an enhanced Web site on Aug. 24. The site will showcase more video content, from the "Where's the beef?" commercial to episodes of "I Pity The Fool," TV Land's original series featuring Mr. T. from "The A-Team." An in-browser broadband video player will give site visitors the option of watching celebrity interviews, selected clips from TV shows, "retromercials," and other media content.

Additionally, full-length streaming episodes of a selected program will be available for free each month; first in the lineup is "Daniel Boone" during September. Science fiction gurus will probably be excited by November's selection: episodes of the original "Star Trek."
