Even ordinary words are suddenly more whimsical and sophisticated when you run them through a Yahoo-style logo generator.

Yahoo teased us all for 30 days leading up the official reveal of its new logo. Some people couldn't wait to see the final design. Others yawned their way through the whole affair. Now that the new logo has been unveiled, we can turn our attention to having fun with it, courtesy of Bertrand Fan's Logo Designer site.

Fan, an engineer at Flickr, whipped up the site to automatically transform any word or phrase into a Yahoo-ish logo using the new font and exclamation point.

Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer has used the words "whimsical," "modern," "fresh," and "sophisticated" to describe the new logo. Now, you can bottle all those qualities using Fan's logo generator.

One you click the "I'm done" button, the site jokingly suggests you purchase the design for $500, which is probably way, way less than Yahoo spent on the redesign process.

Some recommended words to try out include "bumfuzzle," "vomitorium," and "Google." See, instantly classier!
