Troubleshooting the iMac and iMacFixIt Reports

Question: Besides the iMac, how many Mac-related products have spawned a dozen or so Web sites before the product was even released? Answer: zero. Based on the response of the Macintosh Web community, the iMac is clearly the biggest thing to hit the street since 1984 (or at least since the Web itself became popular).

I have been tempted to join this bandwagon; I briefly toyed with the idea of starting a separate Web site called iMacFixIt. For the moment, I have decided not to follow suit. Instead, I have started a special section of MacFixIt called iMacFixIt Reports. It includes two sections: iMac Troubleshooting (for troubleshooting specific items) and iMac Info (for more general items).

I hope that iMacFixIt Reports becomes the best source for iMac troubleshooting on the Web. To accomplish this, I will (as always!) need your help: if you have any iMac troubleshooting news, opinions or tips, be sure to send them, ideally to the new email address imac-reports@macfixit.com.
