Troubleshooting Quicken 2003: Changing the transaction date
There is an apparent bug in Quicken 2003 from Intuit, in which you cannot change the transaction date (in the "passwords" portion of the preferences) if a transaction date has already been entered. The new transaction date will not be remembered by Quicken when you click OK to exit the preferences pane.
MacFixIt reader Scott Rose offers a workaround.
"Completely unchecking the box that says 'Require a password for transactions,' saving the preferences, and then re-opening the preferences and checking that box again will allow you to change the transaction."
