MSN Messenger Login Item: a follow-up Yesterday, we noted that MSN Messenger 3 adds a Login Item which starts the program automatically - and offered a reader's suggestion to remove it from Login Items list to prevent this. Several other readers replied that this is not the ideal solution. Instead, launch Messenger, go to Preferences->General and uncheck the option that says "Run this program when I start my computer." Otherwise, Messenger will likely reinstall the deleted Login Item.
Need for CD Key #? Yesterday, we noted that the likely reason that some users must re-enter their CD key number to install the SR1 update was because their number was suspect as pirated. Erik Ryan, a product manager with the MacBU, confirms this in a posting on this page.
PowerPoint bulleted list bug Christopher Foote writes: "There is a new bug in PowerPoint: If you have bulleted lists that change color after they are shown, they no longer wait for you to click before changing color. Instead, they change color after about a second. This only happens with the second and later items in the list." We tried this and confirmed it.
