Mac OS 9.2.1 and VST drives Following up on our previous report of problems hot-swapping VST Zip drives in PowerBooks, VST/SmartDisk Technical Support replied to Dan Speranzo: "We are aware of an issue with Mac OS 9.2.1 that renders our Zip drives unusable, much like the way you're describing. This issue may either be corrected by Apple or Iomega (as we use their drivers for these drives exclusively), but unfortunately, we have no further information. I apologize for any inconvenience."

Mac OS 9.2 and disk corruption? Yesterday's MacInTouch states: "Readers continue to confirm disk corruption problems with Mac OS 9.2.1, possibly caused by a sleep bug." Our Mac OS 9.2.x MacFixIt Report has more on wake-from-sleep crashes.

Mac OS 9.2.1 memory leak? Lucas Moore believes there may be some sort of memory leak in OS 9.2.1 that causes application response time to slow down as memory availability lessens. He has seen this with typing speed in Outlook Express (after quitting Diablo II) for example. He notes similar reports on Apple's Discussion Boards and the MacFixIt Forums.
