Troubleshooting iTunes 4 (#5): Exposing e-mail addresses?

CNET staff

There are now several web sites now that list people who are currently sharing their music libraries with iTunes 4. However, it seems that these new outlets may inadvertently open a security/spam vulnerability flaw. An anonymous MacFixIt reader writes:

"The other day while browsing someone's library, I decided to play a song and the authorization window popped-up asking for an AppleID and Password. The Apple ID was filled in with the person's .Mac email address and I'm pretty sure it was valid. I think the only songs affected are songs bought from the Music Store."
