Troubleshooting iSync Beta: Skipping Sync

Skipping Sync We continue to receive anecdotal reports regarding a problem in the iSync public beta where the synchornization process races past the iSync progres bar and no information is exported to iCal. Several readers report that using the "slow sync" process in the iSync conduit settings pane yields no result. Bob Eller offers some rudimentary guidance, which resolved the problems under his configuration:

"You have to turn off all the Palm conduits specified in the iSync documentation (datebook, to do, contacts), turn on the iSync Conduit, and set-up for the items to be transferred to iCal. It's also important to select the 'make default' option when you turn off the Palm conduits. If you don't set the conduit to the off as the default it will turn itself back on after a sync attempt."
