Troubleshooting iPhoto 2.0: CMYK photos are garbled or slanted

CNET staff

Importing a CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, black) color-scheme file into iPhoto 2.0 will result in an image that at first appears normal, but then becomes distorted after restarting iPhoto.

Converting the files to RGB with an application like Adobe Photoshop before importing them into iPhoto seems to be the only viable fix.
