Troubleshooting iDVD 3: Thumbnail settings problem; Progress bar stops; more

Thumbnail settings problem Jeff Hirsch alerts us to a problem with the thumbnail preview function in iDVD 3:

"If you click on a button in iDVD and use the slider to set which frame will be used for a thumbnail preview, your settings will not be retained. If you return to a menu you have built this way after moving to another menu or saving and reloading, you will see that the frame you have chosen has changed. This is true for still frames as well as motion menus. This is a serious bug that ruins a major feature that worked very well in iDVD 2."

Progress bar stops Several readers note that the progress bar stops updating after a certain period of time. The process completes, but the progress bar does indicate any change, leading some users to force quit iDVD.

If your progress bar stalls, be patient. The disc will likely finish burning or you will be presented with an error message if something goes wrong.
