Troubleshooting burning CDs with Iomega's Predator

Users continue to report problems with "sense key errors" when trying to burn CD-R's with the Iomega Predator, especially when using iTunes and Disc Burner. A reader received a list of advice on this matter from Iomega Tech Support. Here are the top items from the list:

• Try other disks, Iomega has tested some media and created a list of compatible brands. This list can be found here.
• Try multiple brands of CDs.
• Boot with a limited extension set and the Toast extensions.
• Make sure the device is connected directly to the computer, not
  to hubs or the keyboard.
• Make sure no other programs are running and they are not connected to the internet, including through the network adapter.

Update: Iomega told a reader that they are no longer supporting OS 9.1 with the Predator CDRW, because of all the problems reported. They said to use OS 9.0 or 9.0.4.
