London Motor Show 2008 Toyota brings a little something for the tuner crowd to the 2008 London Motor Show with its Aygo Crazy concept.

The Aygo is Toyota's sub-Yaris sized car in the European market, and is designed for minimum cost and maximum efficiency. To make a more sporting Aygo, Toyota started out by removing the 50 kilowatt 1.0-litre three-cylinder engine and dropped in a 149kW 1.8-litre four-cylinder from the now extinct MR2 convertible, but not where you'd expect it. Instead of residing under the bonnet, the motor has been moved to the underneath the boot floor, creating a rear-engined, rear-wheel drive screamer — kinda like a Renault Clio V6 for the new millenium.

With almost three times as much power as the standard Aygo, not to mention the unorthodox drivetrain conversion, it's no wonder that Toyota calls this concept "Crazy".
