Toshiba offers World Cup laptop rebate

An England triumph would be good news for owners of new Toshiba portables.

Toshiba, the official IT sponsor of this year's , is offering massive laptop rebates if England claims the trophy for the first time since 1966.

If England prove victorious--broken metatarsals notwithstanding--anyone who's bought a Toshiba notebook based on Intel Centrino Duo chip will get 66 percent of the purchase price refunded, in "an unprecedented opportunity to benefit from the success of the national team in Germany."

Anyone wishing to take part in the promotion will need to buy their new kit and register it at www.toshiba.co.uk/66 before the tournament kicks off on June 9.
