Top 10 phones of September
CNET.com.au's Jeremy Roche leads you through September's most popular mobiles.

Sony Ericsson was a hair's length away from scoring a trifecta this month but managed to pick up first, second and fourth position instead.

Once again, the soon to be released P910i smart phone landed itself first position with the Sony Ericsson K700i hot on its heels. Just nosing infront of Sony Ericsson's 3G-capable Z1010 to take third position was Sharp with the entry-level GX15 (available through Vodafone).

Nokia gathered pace this month with many readers flocking to the announcement of the Finnish phone giant's art-deco style mobile phones, which saw the stick-like 7280 enter our top ten. Solid performance all round with Nokia, with the 7610 landing itself 5th position and the 6230 slipping only slightly back to a respectable 8th.

Read on to see the rankings of the hottest phones for September.

Reader Opinion
Configuring the phone was a snap, just loaded my old sim card, it asked to copy the contacts across to the phone's memory and voila! Done. Replaced with new SIM, activated and ready to go.

8.

Nokia 6230

This is a beautifully simple looking phone cleverly disguising a rich feature set.

Reader Opinion

Very good phone but has its faults. The FM radio will only rarely output in stereo - it is so annoying you need to select mono output. The media player through the headphones could be louder.

The sliding 7280 features a concealed VGA camera and forgoes a traditional keypad in favour of a dial.

Looks tricky. This looks too difficult to operate. We do have numbers you know!
