Alongside the newly announced Touch fitness tracker, TomTom on Thursday showed off two new GPS sports watches at the IFA trade show in Berlin. There's the TomTom Spark 3 and TomTom Adventurer, both of which are similar to last year's TomTom Spark.

The key differences are a slightly slimmer design with slimmer watch straps for a more comfortable fit. There's also a new feature that lets you preload up to 15 routes directly on the watch. TomTom is calling this feature "route exploration" and it is designed to help you explore new trails and running routes without the fear of getting lost.

Other features include GPS, an optical heart-rate sensor, all-day fitness tracking, long battery life, multiple sport profiles and a waterproof design (up to 130 feet). Both watches also include 3GB of internal storage to store up to 500 songs right on the watch. You can then use a pair of Bluetooth headphones (included with some models) to stream the music, giving you a completely hands-free and phone-free workout.

The Spark 3, which is known internationally as the Runner 3, includes sport profiles for running (indoor/outdoor), biking (indoor/outdoor), swimming, gym workouts and freestyle workouts. It also includes a stopwatch feature and built-in compass.

Meanwhile, the Adventure adds a barometric altimeter for measuring ascent and descent. The added sensor allows the watch to track trail running, skiing and snowboarding, in addition to everything the Spark 3 can do. It also includes a special battery-saver mode to extend continuous GPS usage for up to 24 hours.

The Spark 3 will be available in the US sometime in October. As it has done in years past, TomTom is offering various models of the watch with different features. There's the entry-level Spark 3 (GPS only) for $130, Spark 3 Music (GPS and music storage) for $150, Spark 3 Cardio (GPS and heart rate) for $180 and Spark 3 Cardio+Music for $250

The TomTom Adventurer will also be available in October in the US for $350.
