Timbuktu and Installers: a follow-up

CNET staff
Regarding yesterday's item noting that disabling Timbuktu can work-around certain Installer problems, Mike Silverman (of Netopia) replies:

"There is a much easier way to temporarily disable Timbuktu on OS X. Simply open Timbuktu's preferences, and under 'General' check the box for 'Only Accept Incoming Connections when application is Open.' Then quit Timbuktu. At this point, Timbuktu is fully disabled.

To re-enable it, simply launch the Timbuktu app and uncheck the preference noted above. Timbuktu will ask you to authenticate when you do this.

As a side note, installers built with InstallerVise version 7.4 and higher happily cooperate with Timbuktu Pro installed."
