Nintendo's Mario Kart series whisks players away to race improbable worlds armed with slippery bananas, exploding power-ups, and turtle shells. Dreamworks Animation After Effects artist Daniel Hashimoto has developed a video series called "Action Movie Kid," in which he gives his 3-year-old kid powers that turn him into a superhero.

In his latest video, his kid enters the world of Mario Kart and stops an errant truck using nothing but a green turtle shell. Will he succeed in defeating the baddie and saving the local grocery store?
