A Pokemaster's journey is dangerous: Australian police issue warning about Pokemon Go
Pokemon Go may be captivating Pokemon trainers around the world, but Australia's Northern Territory police have offered a reminder that a Pokemaster must always be vigilant.
Pokemon Go, the first Pokemon game to hit Android and iOS devices, was released yesterday and people are excited about it. But Australia's Northern Territory Police want to remind you that safety comes first.
"[It's] a good idea to look up, away from your phone and both ways before crossing the street," read a post on the Northern Territory Police, Fire and Emergency Services' Facebook. "That Sandshrew isn't going anywhere fast."
It's a good warning, too, with Pokemaniacs no doubt being tempted to keep their nose to smartphone as they galavant around the wild searching for the critters.
The game launched on Wednesday in the US, but those in Australia and New Zealand got a half-day headstart.
