The Nintendo 3DS arrived at our CNET New York offices this afternoon escorted by a group of lovely ladies with tethered 3DS' in-hand.

Of course the 3DS is the highly anticipated follow-up to Nintendo's insanely popular DS product line and is the first portable gaming system that can display a 3D image without the need for glasses.

Follow along with our unboxing slideshow to see what exactly to expect on March 27 when the 3DS goes on sale in North America for $250. We were given a Cosmo Black console, but the 3DS will also be available in Aqua Blue.

Inside the box was the console, charging dock, AC adapter, manuals, and six AR Game cards, which allow for augmented reality gaming right out of the box.

Six games were bundled inside our review package--Nintendo's three first-party offerings: Nintendogs + Cats, Steel Diver, and PilotWings Resort--and three third-party titles: Super Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition, Lego Star Wars III, and Madden Football.

We'll have much more on the 3DS this week including a full review, so keep it here for the absolute latest! For an early First Look at the 3DS in-hand--including Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition and AR Games--be sure to tune into today's episode of preGame !
