"Man of Steel" and "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" writer and director Zack Snyder sent out a tweet Thursday morning that's sure to drive fanboys batty.

The tweet featured a picture of actor Henry Cavill's Superman dressed up in a black hooded robe and wielding a red lightsaber. While Clark Kent Skywalker would make for an amazing Jedi Knight, the image suggests the Man of Steel might have fallen to the dark side. The coloring of his lightsaber gives it away, as the red crystals in Superman's blade are typically associated with the Sith.

Could Clark Kent, one of the nicest and most selfless superheroes out there, be turning to darkness in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice"? Guess we'll have to wait until the film's 2016 release to find out.
