"The Gap" Web sites no longer work with Safari

CNET staff

The Web sites for "The Gap" and "Banana Republic" no longer properly load in the latest iteration of Safari, persistently attempting to reload with lack of any content display.

MacFixIt reader Scott Rose reported the issue:

"Broken website alert: The major websites BananaRepublic.com and gap.com NO LONGER WORK in Safari!"

Ironically, Millard Drexler, former CEO of The Gap, sits on Apple's Board of Directors.

Both sites still function in other non-WebKit-based Mac OS X browsers like Mozilla Firefox.
